Given the great success of the first session, Grupo CYBENTIA is opening enrollment for a second edition in 2026 of the course that grants the world’s only certification as a ‘Cybersecurity Specialist in Automotive / Mobility for Component Manufacturers, Suppliers, and the Supply Chain’.
This is a 30‑hour online training program where students will explore five exclusive audiovisual modules complemented by specialized reports, key documentation, personalized tutoring, and additional materials.
It is aimed at component manufacturers, Tier 1, 2, and 3 suppliers, quality managers, process engineers, industrial cybersecurity leads, insurance companies, research centers, transportation and logistics companies and institutions… as well as any professional involved in the connected‑vehicle supply chain who wants to stay at the forefront-
The basic concepts of cybersecurity applied to the supply chain, the cybersecurity weaknesses of internal vehicle components, infrastructure vulnerabilities, the applicability of UNECE/R155 regulations, and best practices in the automotive and mobility ecosystem are some of the topics covered in this pioneering training program, which begins on June 8.
June 2026
The automotive equipment and components sector is vital to the Spanish economy. It employs more than 332,000 people, generates over 41.5 billion euros in annual revenue, and includes more than one thousand companies, positioning Spain as the fourth most important country in Europe within the sector.
What measures must suppliers implement to meet the cybersecurity requirements demanded by manufacturers? What types of attacks can each type of technology, and the products built with it, be exposed to? How do cybersecurity regulations affect component approval and audit processes? What impact can a cybersecurity breach have on product traceability or on the legal liability of a component manufacturer?
To address this need, Grupo CYBENTIA is launching the second 2026 edition of its specialist course ‘Cybersecurity in Automotive/Mobility for Component Manufacturers, Suppliers, and the Supply Chain’.
The training program, developed in collaboration with experts from the technology company EUROCYBCAR, is delivered online, and consists of a total of 30 hours of audiovisual content. Five modules cover in detail the cybersecurity aspects that must be considered within the automotive/mobility supply chain:
- Module 1 – The Supply Chain and Cybersecurity: Basic Concepts: This module covers the objectives behind implementing technologies in the supply chain and the importance of building vehicle production on a cybersecurity‑driven ecosystem. It establishes the context for the following modules, which address more technically advanced content.
- Module 2 – Internal Vehicle Components: Cybersecurity Weaknesses and Risks: This module focuses on control units -ECUs-, emphasizing the cybersecurity weaknesses that may arise in vehicle communication protocols. It also explores common technologies implemented in modern vehicles to analyze their potential vulnerabilities: tire pressure monitoring systems, remote locking/unlocking devices… as well as driver assistance systems -ADAS- and even the emergency call system -eCall-.
- Module 3 – Mobility Items External to the Vehicle: Mobility Infrastructure and Its Vulnerabilities: This module delves into vehicle communications with their surroundings -V2X technology- including communication with mobility infrastructures. It also details the infrastructures behind Fleet Management Systems -FMS-, those related to leasing/renting/sharing, and those associated with electric‑vehicle charging, among others.
- Module 4 – Cybersecurity Regulations: Applicability and Impact on the Supply Chain: This module provides an in‑depth look at the ‘UNECE/R155 Vehicle Cybersecurity Regulation’, examines the scope of the ‘ISO/SAE 21434’ standard, and analyzes how other key regulatory texts, such as ‘UNECE/R156’ and the ‘Cyber Resilience Act’ -CRA- affect vehicle production.
- Module 5 – Best Practices in the Automotive/Mobility Ecosystem: The final module defines cyber‑compliance, explains what CSMS implementation entails, and outlines cybersecurity best practices -illustrated through hardware and software development-highlighting the importance of secure‑by‑design development and defining several cybersecurity protocols that every manufacturer, supplier, and participant in the supply chain must consider.
Upon completing the training, participants who have finished all modules will undergo an evaluation based on a multiple‑choice exam. Those who pass will receive a certificate accrediting them as a ‘Cybersecurity Specialist in Automotive / Mobility for Component Manufacturers, Suppliers, and the Supply Chain,’ jointly issued by Grupo CYBENTIA and EUROCYBCAR.
